I Don't Have Any Sentiments Would Somebodything Thirst My Quench

  • Above, my poem about the motherfucking Confederate flag, the motherfuckers defending the Confederate flag, the motherfuckers happy-dancing at the anger of the motherfuckers defending the Confederate flag.
  • Oh, it's also now the official Blegsylvanian Flag of Dark. Until it's not.
  • Dark Ages of America.
  • I was going to make a sillyass Star Trek allusion joke re: Dylann Roof = Jordie captured and conditioned by Klingons, Obama = Ambassador Kell, and Ambassdor Kell/Obama, who controls Jordie/Dylann with e-band emissions, orders Jordie/Dylann to kill blacks in a church and, afterward, declare allegiance for the Confederate flag, setting off a week of disgustingly orgasmic national spasms of debate giving Ambassador Kell/Obama the distraction he needs to enact and economic treaty that helps ensure the Triskelions plans for massive profits for the Triskelions and catfood for you, but fuck that: Obama will never be held to account like Ambassador Kell was.
  • Joke. I'm as big a conspiratorialist as most, but that was a joke.
  • TriskelionsWhen you’re trying to predict how European elites will operate, assume that they are sociopaths on a good day, psychopaths on any other day. The pain and suffering of those whom they do not personally know is not real to them, and they do not care how bad life is for anyone who doesn’t make their lives, personally, better.
  • The delusion of control.
  • See the last sentence.
  • Faces in the sky.
  • The deconstructor in the darkness.
  • Harold Jaffe, for those of you who do.
  • Conlon Nancarrow, for those of you who do.
  • Niedecker, for those of you who do.
  • Guess what I was listening to last night.

CLINICAL THERMOMETER SET WITH MOONSTONE

Alice Notley

I don’t have any sentiments
would somebodything thirst my quench
how about
about my mediocrity of character? I dance
with the dead divinely
                                 in my dreams
I’m stricken deaf when I mention it my babies
cry they want everything quick! here. un-
mentioned
                  as character should be
like the purpurine it needs must be carved in,
                        please

Have you heard of the roguess elephant with the
brilliant diamond eyes? She is the puppet
of the dictionary
                           where is her beautiful orange
juice?
            puppy foot!
                                 When your father dies
he doesn’t let you swoon
                                       into aventurine or spray
of lily (pearls) of the valley
you do not bifurcate
                               you may
supplicate
play yourself to your camp heroine
self—play it Lady play
It
       but delete no matter
       thank you for breakfast
today we will visit with the ear syringe
       be the current density
                                           honey flower
                                           ice egg
I love you as a fan loves air. oops it’s I
                vice-versa I
                                  told you about that
       character
                           She is a bezel
                           awaiting the plop of a
                           ruby she must grow
                           chronically

and I can’t end and I can’t lie
here
He held him in his own heart then
may I in my eye now me

  1. "I wish I could tell the people in my audiences exactly who will benefit most from T.P.P."

That's easy enough, look who is pushing it. The wealthiest few.

So much for President Hope and Change. For all the GOP squealing about Marxism, he's turned out to be a bigger sellout than even Bill Clinton.

as lawrence 'yogi' berra put it, you can observe a lot just by watching

ms notley's writing seems - to me - to have crossed the border between mysteriously allusive poetry and schizophrenic word salad - imho, ymmv

as i was writing this comment, the headline came in "supreme court upholds obamacare subsidies 6-3" - so you see, it's not true that ANYTHING goes - there are limits

as the optimist beamed, "this is the best of all possible worlds!" - to which the pessimist glumly replied, "i am afraid you're right"

  3. Some mornings I rise up and feel things stirring like the quote below from historian Barbara J Fields, out of Ken Burns' documentary.

Other mornings I get up and remember nothing but what I have to do to make money.

On either morning, I walk through and step over the still-sleeping homeless on the stairway down into the subway, while above us are highrises full of Venture-Capital fueled start-ups, dreaming of 'Going Public'.

"What we need to remember is that the civil war *is* in the present as well as in the past. The generation that fought the war...established a standard that will not mean anything until we have finished the work. You can say, 'There's no such thing as slavery any more; we're all citizens'. But, if we're all citizens -- then we have a task to do to make sure *that* is not a joke. If some citizens live in houses, and others live on the street, the Civil War is still going on. It's still to be fought. And regrettably, it can still be lost."
