I think it just occurred to him he hadn't seen you comment in a while when he was typing his comment. The thought is sincere - he's mentioned he likes your comments before.
oh i see . my comments are fleeting ( very swift and nible , ask pen k ( the grinch ) , or justin's fall ) as they should be here , of not part of the flotilla here , / added noting of that flotilla , i am amused when you and a sasha and a few others play off knowing each other well in your comments here , but i just read and smirk, \ i usually look in to read a few poems of links, play a song ( what am i getting in to with this youtub ing , of something on your next post and a fish bowl )
