First, Are You Our Sort of a Person?

The local electical power company helped fund and build an extensive mountain-biking system in Waterloo Recreational, that's me yesterday on the excellent Sugar Loop, we've been advised to avoid the heavily used mountain bike trails on all but rainy days and it rained all day yesterday, so today we're finishing up the Waterloo-Pinckney Trail. Woods have toggled in forty-eight hours, weather has toggled in forty-eight hours, overnight the leaves marooned and browned, and the next sustained wind storm will strip the trees. Later yesterday, driving to Hudson Mills MetroPark Disc Gold Course, between the new Lambchop and the new Oren Ambarchi albums on my bandcamp I spent five minutes on Detroit's White Christian Nationalist station and learned that I am a sick oralmay egenerateday and edophilepay that shows ornographypay to ivefay year olds, howay newkay?

That's (not) it for belaboring that for the remainder of this trip and for as long as I can which means tomorrow from this sofa in Waterloo Michigan

This though: Monday I bought a six-pack at a party store (what country stores are called here) and was wearing a mask and baseball hat and the owner (this not the Portage Lake party store) gruffed and took my money, as an experiment yesterday I went in without a mask or hat, owner helloed me, wanted to talk hunting, I was wearing the right uniform

"After sixty years of political activism and study I can boil down what I have learned into three propositions: 1) Labor in the white skin cannot be free where in the [B]lack it is branded; 2) For revolutionaries, dual power is the key to strategy; 3) The emancipation of the working class is the task of the workers themselves."

This though: reminder that the relationship between cracker/christers and their apocalypse as promoted by American shitlords is the same dynamic as the relationship between American shitlords and their apocalyptic worldview that it's American shitlords' unipolar world or no world at all

THE APPLICANT

Sylvia Plath (born 90 years ago today)

First, are you our sort of a person?
Do you wear
A glass eye, false teeth or a crutch,
A brace or a hook,
Rubber breasts or a rubber crotch,

Stitches to show something's missing? No, no? Then
How can we give you a thing?
Stop crying.
Open your hand.
Empty? Empty. Here is a hand

To fill it and willing
To bring teacups and roll away headaches
And do whatever you tell it.
Will you marry it?
It is guaranteed

To thumb shut your eyes at the end
And dissolve of sorrow.
We make new stock from the salt.
I notice you are stark naked.
How about this suit——

Black and stiff, but not a bad fit.
Will you marry it?
It is waterproof, shatterproof, proof
Against fire and bombs through the roof.
Believe me, they'll bury you in it.

Now your head, excuse me, is empty.
I have the ticket for that.
Come here, sweetie, out of the closet.
Well, what do you think of that?
Naked as paper to start

But in twenty-five years she'll be silver,
In fifty, gold.
A living doll, everywhere you look.
It can sew, it can cook,
It can talk, talk, talk.

It works, there is nothing wrong with it.
You have a hole, it's a poultice.
You have an eye, it's an image.
My boy, it's your last resort.
Will you marry it, marry it, marry it.
