My Saints, My Slogan-Sayers Sang, Be Good, My Child, in Spite of All Alarm
Turned on my chromebook this morning to post the hexjeff below, between last night and this morning chrome installed Gemini, its motherfucking AI tool, and chrome pinned the icon to my task bar and is badgering me on screen and in email, here is my response to Every.Fucking.Thing:
Serendipitously if unfortunately, three weeks ago the person I'm related to by marriage accidentally and unknowingly knocked my chromebook off the piano bench I use as table when working on my couch and shook-up its inside when it landed on the floor, damaging the cooling fan, it now runs loud and growing louder and hot and growing hotter, and I'm forced to start considering a replacement which of course sparks bleggalgazes like summer storms tornados. A reminder: the guy who runs this shitty blog thinks of these posts as poems. Good news (for me, probably half good news for you): I'm painting less, started writing again
This is the last time one of these posted here until the next and never again the current plan. Most of what's written in the above tablet or the standard tablet stays in tablet because they help me process the duh of the daily clusterstormfuck so I stop freaking the fuck out (plus the grid of links does the daily duh better than me daily reparaphrasing clusterfuck's daily duh (forty of the fifty links in the grid below clusterfuckful, the fuck is wrong with me). Psst - Netanyahu is Biden's genocide-beard, not visa versa. Also too: look at this guy posting in his ghost stringtown now deader than ever in his dying Zeno-faster than ever Blegsylvania on a Friday before a three-day holiday weekend in Helmetball Season in Helmetballstan. This Love Tractor (who I hadn't thought about in at least a decade) song started playing in my head yesterday
US Arms Dealers Witness ‘Record Profits’ From Israel’s Year-Long Genocide in Gaza, War on Lebanon
Facing war in the Middle East and Ukraine, the US looks feeble. But is it just an act?
☝
"The idea that Biden is just muddling through these global crises isn’t convincing. Look closely and his foreign policy has been as radical as Trump’s"
"Liberal personality politics/fan culture in a nutshell: it doesn't matter that Biden is in practice backing Netanyahu and his crimes to the hilt. What matters is alleged, epic backroom swears that allow you to imagine daylight where there is none. Politics as pure aesthetics"
☝
Imagine celebrating Joe Biden for cursing out Netanyahu while selling him the weapons to genocide first Palestinians and now Lebanese
"Impossible to say at what point it happened, or whether it already the case a year ago, but it's pretty clear that this has become Biden's war in a more robust sense than is captured by the fact that the US is financing it
Rashid Khalidi, America’s foremost scholar of Palestine, is retiring: ‘I don’t want to be a cog in the machine any more’
"The seeking of confrontation while pretending to be the victim. The gutting realisation that no body cares about her performative victimhood. Perfect. 10/10"
Who the fuck didn't DUH this about the teslasshole months ago?
"Elon wants to take your car, put a chip in your head, and cover the skies in surveillance satellites, and you're telling me he's fighting the Deep State?"
"Trump Bibles are made in Hangzhou, China. They shipped 120,000 of them this year to US. Cost to wholesaler is $3 each. Trump is selling them for $60. Are his new China tariffs going to be slapped on these since they cost American jobs, or will these get one of his famous waivers"
One of the main reasons I don't want to move to Michigan is EVERY county near my daughter has a Sheriffs Office not a Police Department. Police suck. Sheriffs are worse
☝
Police seldom disclose use of facial recognition despite false arrests
"It’s weird that the Democratic ticket apparently thinks that a good way to court working class voters is to deploy the party’s billionaire tech donors to demand the firing of an antitrust regulator"
And crazy: climate change is NOT real *and* Biden is creating and driving hurricanes into Crackerstan
"We are caught in the vortex of two vast hallucinations in the body politic: that the hurricanes have been deliberately created; and that Israel is "defending itself." The first is more chaotically deranged than the second, but both are false, sinister and destructive"
Democratic mayor of US' second largest city proudly brags of fucking over homeless people
I realize their shitlord donors make this move to the center a requirement but that doesn't mean emmeffing Democrats in their heart and soul would rather lose courting soft-crackers than win courting their base and you and me (even while aware they could just sell us out anyway)
"Cynicism is quicksand: once you step into it, it’s impossible to get out. Cynicism is a trap, a snare, a trip-wire, and while it purports to bump up against attempts at humor, it is entirely unfunny"
Goldberg's Bagels are terrific, plus it gets you to the most secret and freakiest shopping center in Moco on Boiling Brook Pkwy in a part of Rockville you have to want to go to end up
I was about to start *Jude the Obscure* before hearing of Coover's death, why I had been thinking about Hardy I have no idea, and will read *Jude* once my reread of both of Coover's *Brunists* are done

1.5/the Mazda cx5 I drive - 7500 miles now - was assembled in Hiroshima -- the year I was 7 - 1954-5 - I lived about 30 miles from Nagasaki ground zero -- the previous year I lived with my maternal grandparents while my father was with the U.S. Army in South Korea
2/the one time I saw king crimson in person was the one time I saw procol harum in person - a review is at https://www.procolharum.com/phboston_0574.htm
it was announced from the stage that it was the violist's 42nd birthday - that seemed middle-aged to me at that time although the fellow was still slim
my friends and I agreed with the reviewer's remark that after KC PH seemed insipid - we left partway through
3/I keep forgetting that the route to "serenity now" is "radical acceptance of the way things are" - sometimes when learning about current events I feel like yelling and breaking things [and worse] but of course I won't do anything like that - what I did do is cancel my cable tv subscription and thereby cut my Verizon bill in half
4/I haven't been to that bagel bakery but I have been nearby at the friends of the library bookstore - as you say you don't get to that shopping center on the way to somewhere else
4.1/spouse and I were rearranging kitchen stuff and came across our bagel slicer this weekend - it is adapted to quite large bagels
5/I saw the YouTube of "fur Elise - Batiste" and enjoyed it
