The Very Flatness of Portraits Makes for Nostalgia in the Connoisseur

Speaking of sillyass Star Trek allusions, and wonderfully serendipitous to thinking about Occupy (if unfortunate to him), Charles Napier died this past Wednesday, who played Adam, who called Kirk Herbert.

Motherfucking Obama is often compared to Herbert Hoover. Coincidence?

Also, looking for the above youtube I found the below. Is proof I'm old that I bring up this old sexist debate, but most guys said Marianne but I always said Ginger.

OUR NATURE

Rae Armantrout

The very flatness
of portraits
makes for nostalgia
in the connoisseur.

Here’s the latest
little lip of wave
to flatten
and spread thin.

Let’s say
it shows our recklessness,

our fast gun,

our self-consciousness
which was really

our infatuation
with our own fame,

our escapes,

the easy way
we’d blend in

with the peasantry,

our loyalty
to our old gang

from among whom
it was our nature

to be singled out

  1. Begin a poem? That's silly, you write the beginning last, much easier that way.

  2. We're on season three. If I'm not mistaken, the hippies is the last episode of the original series run.

Last episode viewed: Kirok is helpless and impotent in the face of ancient alien technology but still manages to impregnate the Native American alien babe. Even Databoy understood the cheese.

  3. Speaking of Databoy, wait til you meet Stanley. I saw and pointed out the similarity within days of his arrival. Earthgirl and Hamster can vouch.

  6. The east-west rail line, which would link Bethesda in Montgomery County to New Carrollton in Prince George’s County, has been on the Montgomery master plan for more than 20 years.

    You can't hurry love.

  7. R - Don't forget how easy meter makes it too.

L - That means, I think, you've still Batgirl in green body paint writhing at Kirk on Garth's behest, yes?

a - Welcome. Earthgirl's my wife, nom-de-blog makes us smile.

S - I often walk in to the clock shop after I've safewayed just to.

i - I'd not go so far as a fuck-me-jig, but I'll believe there's a Purple Line between Bethesda and New Carrollton when I ride it. Meaning you're right.
