The Hinterland, the Hinterland, We're Gonna Sail to the Hinterland, It's So Far Far Far-Far Far Far-Far-Far Away, It's So Far Far Da-Da-Da-Da-DA-Da Dadada. Two. Three-Four.

Bowie is sixty-eight today. The above by perpetual and eternal inside-baseball request. The two new songs by request from Rhode Island. Scary Monsters via John. Will post some covers tomorrow plus any request sent my way today.

And finally, bar none, always and forever my favorite Bowie song. People can vouch.

just as it is said - "when you understand, you don't have to remember anything" - it could also be said "if you have faith, you don't have to believe anything"

also relevant - the hat poem reminds me of the importance of "enough hats" in the monty python creed [which continues "In the universe there are many energy fields which we cannot normally perceive"] - enough "metaphorical" hats provide a wide variety of self-observation opportunities - see also my dec 31 2014 comment here
