Soon I won't be able to tell you three times we are being reprogrammed
Pundits who advocate hot war are enemies of humanity
The liberals' war against the homeless
The Life of Antonio Gramsci
Villager jester begs Saint Obama to save us!
"Boxers accustomed to fighting unconscious, hogtied opponents revolt in face of new rule allowing unconscious, hogtied opponents to have one arm free"
Parasitic oscillationsNew Alice Notley!
that time he made it just in time but didn't
A tale of two clownish presidents
The only two flavors of motherfucking DemocratsTime to stock up now
The 5th was Robinson Jeffers Day
The song below was this blog's Obamapostasy Anthem, haven't posted it in years, Quietus did an article yesterday on the album's 20th birthday in particular and McKlusky in general
Here, Obama congratulating himself on rewarding insurance and pharmaceutical shitlord rent extraction corporations, go, LOUD!

BE ANGRY AT THE SUN

Robinson Jeffers

That public men publish falsehoods
Is nothing new. That America must accept
Like the historical republics corruption and empire
Has been known for years.

Be angry at the sun for setting
If these things anger you. Watch the wheel slope and turn,
They are all bound on the wheel, these people, those warriors.
This republic, Europe, Asia.

Observe them gesticulating,
Observe them going down. The gang serves lies, the passionate
Man plays his part; the cold passion for truth
Hunts in no pack.

You are not Catullus, you know,
To lampoon these crude sketches of Caesar. You are far
From Dante’s feet, but even farther from his dirty
Political hatreds.

Let boys want pleasure, and men
Struggle for power, and women perhaps for fame,
And the servile to serve a Leader and the dupes to be duped.
Yours is not theirs.

  1. from Mindfulness in Plain English by Venerable Henepola Gunaratana:

Go to a party. Listen to the laughter, that brittle-tongued voice that says fun on the surface and fear underneath. Feel the tension, feel the pressure. Nobody really relaxes. They are faking it. Go to a helmetball game. Watch the fan in the stand. Watch the irrational fit of anger. Watch the uncontrolled frustration bubbling forth from people that masquerades under the guise of enthusiasm, or team spirit. Booing, cat-calls and unbridled egotism in the name of team loyalty. Drunkenness, fights in the stands. These are the people trying desperately to release tension from within. These are not people who are at peace with themselves. Watch the news on TV. Listen to the lyrics in popular songs. You find the same theme repeated over and over in variations. Jealousy, suffering, discontent and stress.

Life seems to be a perpetual struggle, some enormous effort against staggering odds. And what is our solution to all this dissatisfaction? We get stuck in the ' If only' syndrome. If only I had more money, then I would be happy. If only I could find somebody who really loves me, if only I could lose 20 pounds, if only I had a color TV, Jacuzzi, and curly hair, and on and on forever. So where does all this junk come from and more important, what can we do about it? It comes from the conditions of our own minds. It is a deep, subtle and pervasive set of mental habits, a Gordian knot which we have built up bit by bit and we can unravel just the same way, one piece at a time. We can tune up our awareness, dredge up each separate piece and bring it out into the light. We can make the unconscious conscious, slowly, one piece at a time.
